This site hopes to support your spiritual life by providing community space to listen and share reflections. The purpose of our blog is for Oblate community building through reflections on Benedictine Spirituality. We hope to unite and bring about more conversation with the various SHM Chapters and share more contemplative insights after reading a posted monthly reflection or the General Assembly or Cells assigned text. We wish to invite Oblates to reflect on related areas in their everyday life.

"Let them prefer nothing whatever to Christ. And may He bring us all together to everlasting life!"Rule of Benedict c. 72
I think this is the offical website of The Order of St. Benedict. I know it has a tremendous wealth of information and resources, including the Liturgy of the Hours. This has sure been helpful.

Who We Are
Oblates of St. Benedict are Christian men and women of all faiths: divorced, single, married and widowed who associate themselves with a Benedictine monastery in order to enrich their Christian way of life. Oblates shape their lives by living the wisdom of Christ as interpreted by St. Benedict. Oblates seek God by striving to become holy in their chosen way of life. By integrating their prayer and work, they manifest Christ's presence in society. (An Introduction to Oblates of St. Benedict)
